PHELPS, Ky. — A Phelps man faces up to 20 years in prison, after allegedly stabbing his uncle.

Cody Wright, 19, was arrested Saturday night at a home on Maria Branch.

According to court records, Wright allegedly admitted to stabbing his uncle in the face and neck, but said it was in self-defense. The uncle was airlifted from the scene for treatment of his injuries.

Wright has now been charged with first-degree assault. He remains jailed in the Pike County Detention Center.
