PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Mingo County man has been arrested for breaking into his girlfriend’s Pikeville home, after she had reported him to police for threatening to kill her.

Pikeville Police were called to the woman’s Kentucky Avenue apartment just after 7 a.m. Saturday. She told police that 35-year-old Kenneth Brad Hall, of Delbarton, had threatened her, and she played a recording of the call in which he allegedly said he would kill her and take her children.

While police were talking to the woman, Hall allegedly called back and told her she would wake up the next day with two black eyes.

The woman then left to obtain an emergency protective order, but while she was doing that, Hall allegedly called again to say he had broken into her apartment and that he was going to take his things and destroy some of her things.

Police arrived at the apartment just as Hall was leaving, and he was arrested. The police report says the door had been kicked in and various items had been thrown around the apartment.

Hall is now charged with burglary, assault, terroristic threatening and menacing.
