Pikeville, KY — A Bowling Green man, who just wanted to get out of Pikeville, is staying a little longer after he was charged with stealing a vehicle. According to the arrest citation, Pikeville Police responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle traveling on U.S 23 north bound. A concerned citizen called and reported to police that he had seen a man get into a car parked at the Car Quest on Hibbard Street and he knew the car did not belong to that man and watched the man pull out and drive away. The citizen followed the vehicle to Coal Run Village where the vehicle turned up Joe Stanley Road. Police located the man, 35-year-old Harry Clem walking a short distance from the vehicle. Clem told police he just wanted out of town. Clem was booked and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center charged with Theft by unlawful taking Automobile under $10,000.00.
