SALYERSVILLE, KY.–Police called last night to a Magoffin County residence for reports of a man barricaded in a bathroom, threatening to shoot himself, ended up walking away with a drug trafficking arrest.
State troopers responded to the home on Route 10-81 found the subject manifestly under the influence and unable to respond. He was taken away by ambulance for treatment. However, as troopers looked through the home, they found several needles, scales and plastic bags containing white and brown substances. Also inside the home, they found 55-year-old Kanawha Ray Slone, of Topmost. He was arrested for trafficking in meth and heroin and illegal possession of a prescription drug. He remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
