Martin backs Harris for Supreme Court

Martin County voters backed State Rep. Chris Harris for Supreme Court Justice for the 7th Supreme Court District in Tuesday’s primary election.

According to unofficial results out of Martin County, with 14 out of 14 precincts reporting, Harris garnered 109 votes compared to 72 votes for Robert Conley and just 37 votes for incumbent Sam Wright. Harris represents the 93rd legislative district, which includes Martin and Pike counties.

Martin County voters also backed President Donald Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Congressman Hal Rogers. Martin County Democrats backed Charles Booker over Amy McGrath and Glenn Martin Hammond over Scott Sykes.
