Martin, KY — A pursuit ends with a Floyd County man in jail. According to authorities, Martin City Police Officer Brad Stidham observed a motorcycle traveling on Main Street in Martin shortly after 1:00 AM Wednesday morning which matched the description of a bike that had fled from Kentucky State Police in the Allen community. Officer Stidham attempted to pull the motorcycle over but it sped up attempting to elude. The pursuit ended on Hite Road in Martin after the driver laid the bike over in the ditch line. The driver, 19-year-old Bryce K. Dameron of Frasure’s Creek Road in McDowell refused treatment from EMS. Dameron was arrested and charged with Speeding, Fleeing or Evading Police and Failure to comply with helmet law under 21 years of age. Dameron was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center. Members of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police assisted in the pursuit.
