PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County woman was arrested Sunday, after police say she cut her boyfriend during an argument about a song.
The boyfriend called Kentucky State Police around 3 a.m. Sunday, saying his girlfriend had cut him with a knife. He left the home afterwards and police found him walking along Hurricane Road, with blood covering his arm.
The man showed police a cut on the knuckle of his index finger, where he said Heavan Renee Hall, 23, of Pikeville, cut him.
The man said he was telling her about a song that was special to him, but she didn’t like it, which prompted an argument. When he tried to leave, the man said Hall punched him in the face and cut him with a knife. He also said they had both been drinking, which he said might have played a role in the argument.
When police spoke with Hall, she reportedly said she cut her boyfriend because he repeatedly refused to leave the house.
Hall was arrested on a charge of second-degree assault, a felony punishable by 5-to-10 years in prison.
