Mr. Gatti’s celebrating 40 years in business

gattis2PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Gatti’s Pizza in Pikeville is celebrating its 40th anniversary this Sunday with a Customer Appreciation Celebration. Gatti’s Pizza opened on South Mayo Trail in Pikeville in November 1977. In 2002, Gatti’s began the family Entertainment Center concept in some large cities. Gatti’s of Pikeville owner Deborah Newsome Slone thought it would be great if Pikeville had a place to host sports teams, field trips, school and church functions and overnight lock-ins like Project Prom. When a furniture store closed and the property was available, she moved to the new location on Cassidy Boulevard. Gatti’s is currently a 23,000 sq. ft. facility. Sunday, the buffet will be $4.40 all day. A free $5 game card will be given to every child and teenager. There will be prizes every hour and face painting. Santa will also visit from noon until 2 and 4 until 6.
