New COVID-19 cases have been reported in Letcher and Knott counties.
According to the Kentucky River District Health Department, a new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Letcher County in a 60-year-old female. In Knott County, a 37-year-old male was confirmed as being positive for COVID-19.
The new cases raise Letcher County’s total COVID-19 case count to 20 cases. Knott County’s total COVID-19 case count is now 21 cases.
According to the Kentucky River District Health Department, there are now 161 total COVID-19 cases in the district’s seven-county service area, with Perry County having the highest total case count at 96 cases, including eight new cases reported Tuesday.
