Operation School Shoes was a success again this year at Betsy Layne Elementary on August 3rd. Kids around the Floyd County area were given fitted shoes, school supplies, food, haircuts, etc. to get them ready for school this year. This was all possible through online auctions and donations organized by Christene Layne and her wonderful team of volunteers.
