Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall arrives in Prestonsburg

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. –  Wednesday afternoon, traffic was stopped and the American flag was displayed as the traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall made its way through Prestonsburg.  The wall, which was unveiled this past February in Frankfort, features just over 1,100 names of Kentucky soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam, and will be on display Thursday at the Wilkinson Stumbo Convention Center at Jenny Wiley State Resort Park.  The wall will be on display during a Luncheon for all veterans in Pike, Floyd, Martin, Magoffin and Johnson Counties from 11am until 2pm.  The public is invited to a public viewing and reception from 5:30pm until 8:30pm at the Convention Center.
