PIKE COUNTY, Ky. –  This week, photos shared on social media of a dead horse in Pike County prompted a police investigation.  One photo was allegedly taken a few weeks ago of a horse tied up in a yard on Road Fork. The second photo shows the horse lying dead in the same yard at the beginning of this week. Kentucky State Troopers were dispatched to the home to investigate allegations of possible animal abuse.  At this point, Trooper William Petry does not anticipate any charges being filed in the case.
