PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is in jail following a breaking-and-entering at a day care center.

Pikeville Police were called Friday regarding an overnight break-in at Model City Daycare.

Officers reviewed security video, which showed two people entering the building through a second-floor door, then wander from room to room, taking random items. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be around 100 dollars.

Police identified Johnny Slone, of Raccoon, and a minor as their suspects, who they later found at a Pikeville apartment.

Slone was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, unlawful transaction with a minor, and felon in possession of a handgun.
