A Pike County man is facing four counts of child endangerment following a traffic stop over the weekend.
21-year-old Hayden Damron, of Shelbiana, was arrested Saturday night after Pikeville Police initiated a suspected-DUI traffic stop. Damron allegedly told halted a field sobriety tests and told police to take him to jail after performing poorly on the tests.
Court documents said Damron had four small children in the vehicle with him, only one of which was properly restrained, and the other three not wearing seat belts. He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on a DUI charge and four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
According to court documents, Damron pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his driver’s license was ordered suspended. He is due back in court on the charges in January 2018.
