PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville couple was taken to jail on drug trafficking charges early Saturday morning.

As part of a continuing investigation throughout the night, police executed a search warrant at the Hambley Boulevard residence of Brandon Johnson, 36, and his wife, Jennifer Johnson, 41. Inside, police found three bags of meth, along with scales, bags, and $500 in cash.

During the search, Brandon Johnson took the blame for the drugs, saying his wife had nothing to do with it.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Johnson told police Brandon was supposed to get rid of the drugs three days earlier.

Both were arrested and charged with first-degree meth trafficking.
