PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pikeville Medical Center has received multiple quality award rankings from CareChex® Awards, an information service of Quantros, Inc. These rankings highlight PMC as a top health care organization in Kentucky and the nation.
PMC was awarded seven distinct awards in four areas of specialties in multiple award categories. These awards are presented annually based on a comprehensive scoring system that compares inpatient quality performance across general, acute and non-federal U.S. hospitals.
CareChex awards are based on a comprehensive risk-adjustment methodology and do not include self-reported data. For 2024, Pikeville Medical Center has received the following awards:
- Top 10 percent of Hospitals in the Nation for Patient Safety: Heart Attack Treatment and Sepsis Care
- Top 10 percent of Hospitals in the State for Patient Safety: Heart Attack Treatment, Heart Failure Treatment, and Sepsis Care
- Top 10 percent of Hospitals in the State for Medical Excellence: Hip Fracture Care
- Top 100 Hospitals in the Nation for Patient Safety: Sepsis Care
