Police arrest two after witnessing drug deal

MILLARD, Ky. — Two men were arrested outside of a gas station, after allegedly conducting a drug deal in front of two state troopers.

According to police reports, the officers were patrolling the parking lot of the gas station along U.S. 460 at Millard, when they observed the alleged transaction.

As the officers approached the subjects, one of the men — identified as 53-year-old Jeffery Lambert, of Shelbiana — toss something into the back of truck.

That object turned out to be a small bag of meth.

The other man — identified as 20-year-old Brandon Slone, of Robinson Creek — was allegedly found to be in possession of more meth and two sets of digital scales. 

Both men were arrested and charged with meth trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lambert was also charged with evidence tampering.
