Police: Person killed in Pike crash

A person was killed late Wednesday in a crash in Pike County.

According to a statement from Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to a crash that occurred just before midnight Wednesday on Ky. 612-Turkey Creek Road in South Williamson. Upon troopers’ arrival, the statement said, it was determined that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the roadway when its driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. The driver’s identity has not yet been released by police.

The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
