NEW ALLEN, Ky. — Police are investigating a bank robbery in Floyd County this morning.

It happened at the Community Trust Bank, near the intersection of Route 1428 and U.S. 23. Details are still coming in, but Kentucky State Police, Prestonsburg Police and Floyd County Sheriff’s Office have responded to the scene.

It happened just after 9:30 this morning when an armed, masked man entered the bank and demanded money. The man then left the bank on foot, walking toward a nearby Subway restaurant on Route 1428.
