Police search for couple following two stabbings

POUND, Va. — Police in southwestern Virginia are asking the public to be on the lookout for a couple accused in a pair of vicious attacks.

Gwendolyn Faye Nelson, 29, who goes by the name Lyn, is wanted for two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, and one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding.

Bennie Donald Hicks Jr., 42, who is known by the nickname Kojak, is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding and conspiracy to commit aggravate malicious wounding.

The Pound Police Department says the two are wanted in connection with incidents that occurred on Sept. 30. In one, a man was beaten with a baseball bat and then stabbed, and in the other, a woman was stabbed several times and assaulted.

Authorities ask if you see the pair or know where they are, to contact your state or local police.
