HUDDY, Ky. — A report of a shooting has resulted in a Pike County man being arrested for assault and numerous counts of drug trafficking.

Kentucky State Police troopers were dispatched to the shooting at Forest Trace Apartments, at Huddy. There, they determined that Carson Jones, 45, of Stone, had allegedly shot Chad Hurley, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening.
But during their response to the shooting, they also found what was described as a large amount of drugs.
Jones was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree meth trafficking, first-degree fentanyl trafficking, third-degree trafficking of an unspecified drug, and possession of a defaced firearm. He is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
