Positive case closes Pike courthouse offices

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pike County Clerk Rhonda Taylor has announced a staff member in her office has tested positive for COVID-19, requiring the office to close immediately.

The office will remain closed until Monday, Oct. 26, so that the office can undergo deep cleaning. The sheriff’s office and PVA office will also be closed during that same timeframe.

The employee worked in the motor vehicles department.

Taylor tells Mountain Top Media the closure will not affect early voting, because the precinct is separate from the main office.
