PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Prestonsburg Police have closed the books on several vehicle theft cases in Floyd and Pike counties.
While investigating the recent theft of an ATV from a local pawn shop, officers learned that the vehicle had allegedly been sold by Leonard Blair, 30, of Salyersville. Officers also determined that some of Blair’s family members had vehicles reported stolen from Walters Mazda in Coal Run and Pop’s Chevy in Prestonsburg.
When interviewing Blair about the stolen vehicles, he allegedly admitted to either taking part in the thefts or knowing about them.
Blair and Ricky Goble, 56, of Prestonsburg, have now been charged with multiple theft charges, as well as persistent felony offender.
Both were already lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on unrelated charges.
