Judgments against 45-year-old Karen Elizabeth Isaac and her daughter, 22-year-old Alyssa K. Isaac, both of Melvin, were handed down yesterday. Both women admitted back in September to conspiring to illicit distribute a variety of prescription pills, including oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, suboxone and Xanax. Karen Isaac was sentenced to 48 months in prison, while Alyssa Isaac was sentenced to 24. Earlier this year, Alyssa Isaac’s boyfriend, Scott Dewayne Tackett, was also sentenced on the same charge. He was given a 66-month sentence. Karen Isaac’s husband, Jeffery Isaac, was also charged and took his case to trial. He was convicted in January on the conspiracy charge, as well as possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime. He will be sentenced later this month.
