Shoplifters found traveling in stolen car

Lawrence County, Ky.–It happened at Wal-Mart when the Louisa Police Department responded to a call of suspected shoplifters.  30-year old Justin Hager and 35-year old Katrina Salmons both of Saint Albans West Virginia could be seen on security footage switching price tags and concealing several other items. The pair allegedly  had a total of over $650 dollars’ worth of stolen items in their possession.

Hager and Salmons were found to be traveling in a 2008 Blue Saturn Astra with West Virginia plates with a plate that came back belonging to a 2003 Ford Explorer.  Officers ran the VIN number on the vehicle and it came back as being reported as stolen  from Saint Albans.

Both were arrested and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property, under $10,000. They remain lodged in the Big Sandy regional Detention Center.
