“Shuttle Service Saturday” provides transportation for mountain bikers

Many mountain bikers enjoy the thrill of a fast-paced, intense ride through the hills, but these rides can be exhausting and draining. Volunteers at the Sugarcamp Mountain Trails now provide “Shuttle Service Saturdays” on certain days through October. Prestonsburg Tourism Executive Director Samantha Johnson says the shuttle will transport riders and their bikes from the campgrounds at the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park to the trailhead at Sugarcamp Mountain Trails and then from the bottom of the mountain back up to their vehicles. The dates will include every Saturday in October except on the 12th. Johnson states the service is free and will hopefully be able to assist those who need help on the trails.
