A local economic development diversification organization is seeking a new director.
Shaping Our Appalachian Region, or SOAR, has launched a statewide search for its next leader. The organization has announced that founding Executive Director Jared Arnett has announced he is stepping down at SOAR effective in October to work more closely with his church and a business he co-founded. Arnett has served at SOAR since it was founded in 2013.
Letters of interest and resumes for the Executive Director position must be submitted by the close of business on Aug. 14. SOAR says Arnett will remain as executive director until a successor is named. SOAR anticipates a selection to be made by Sept. 30.
