LOUISA, Ky. — A Lawrence County man under arrest after being indicted on meth possession charges found himself also facing an escape charge, after allegedly trying to make a break for it.

But he didn’t get very far.

Travis Hylton, 41, of Louisa, was picked up just after 2 a.m. Friday, and reportedly told the officer he had just used meth.

After being placed in the back of the police car, the officer said he kicked out the back door window and tried to leap out. However, he got stuck in the window and was placed back in custody while hanging halfway out.

In addition to escape, he is now also charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief.
