Three face drug charges following shoplifting complaint

LOUISA, Ky. — A shoplifting complaint at Louisa Walmart ended up sending three people to jail on drug charges.

Louisa Police were called to the store Saturday, after it was reported that Brandi Fannin, 35, of Tomahawk, was allegedly swapping price tags on merchandise with tags from lower-priced items.

After police questioned her, they discovered she had meth, an assortment of pills and drug paraphernalia in her possession. They also learned she was at the store with two men, who were waiting for her outside.

Police then found the men — 50-year-old Elvis Spence and 40-year-old Mark Mollette — and discovered more meth in their vehicle.

All three were arrested and charged with drug trafficking conspiracy and other drug-related charges. Fannin is also charged with theft.
