CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Police found drugs and a car stolen out of Kentucky during traffic stop early Friday morning in Logan County.

Chapmanville Police pulled over the car around 1:45 a.m. and immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana. The occupants — 33-year-old Malcolm Meade Jr. and 29-year-old Jessica Meade — reportedly admitted there was some marijuana in the car, but the officer also found two bags of meth during a search.

And after running the car’s VIN number, the officer discovered it had been reported stolen in Pikeville.

The Meades were arrested and charged with drug conspiracy, possession with the intent to deliver, grand larceny and possession of stolen property.
