Two Arrested In Domestic Violence Assault

Johnson County, KY — A domestic violence call ended with both parties being arrested. According to the arrest citations, Johnson County Sheriff Deputies responded to the complaint in the Tutor Key area of the county. Deputies found 36-year-old Andrea Shafer of Thelma standing in the yard. Shafer told deputies that her boyfriend, 33-year-old Glenn Miller, Junior of Whitesburg, had refused to leave and pushed her down on the couch twice hard enough to injure her neck which she recently had surgery on. Shafer admitted that both she and Miller had been drinking. Miller had run up the hill as deputies arrived but came back down. Miller stated that Shafer had punched him the face and he was defending himself. The citation stated that Miller had blood on his lip from a busted nose. Both Shafer and Miller were transported to Paul B. Hall Medical Center to be medically cleared and afterward, both were arrested for Assault 4th degree domestic violence and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
