UK TF: Wildcats Set for Dual Meet Weekend in Clemson and Boston

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats are set to return to the track this week with a pair of meets on Feb. 13-14 at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C. and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass.  

In their last time out, the Wildcats totaled five top 10 program marks at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. on Jan 30-31, three event wins and a freshman record by high jumper Kemarah Howard on the weekend in Fayetteville, all three coming on day two, highlighted by yet another impressive performance from the hurdles and jumps groups.

For the second this season, Emmi Scales reclaimed a spot atop the national rankings, tying the NCAA’s best women’s 60m hurdles time with a career-best of 7.96, earning a pair of wins in the first two rounds of the event. Scales would later place second in the final with a time of 8.01.

In this week’s USTFCCCA rankings, the third checkpoint of the 2026 season, the Wildcats came in at No. 23 on the women’s side, featuring in the top 25 for the third consecutive week.

Kentucky will be competing against some familiar programs this weekend in both meets, including SEC foes Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and South Carolina in Clemson.

The opening event in Clemson for the Wildcats will feature junior Grayson Brashear and freshman Brock Conrad competing in the men’s weight at 10 a.m. ET, concluding with the men’s 60m final at 4:35 p.m. ET. The Wildcats first event in Boston will be the men’s mile race at 1:20 p.m. ET.
