DRAFFIN, Ky. — A Pike County teen is dead following a collision on U.S. 460.

According to Kentucky State Police, Dakota Compton, 17, of Regina, was traveling west when he lost control of his vehicle. After crossing the center of the highway, Compton was rear-ended by a commercial vehicle.

Compton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by KSP.
