BELFRY, Ky. – Belfry Pirates offensive lineman Bo Wolford has made it official; he will continue his role as an outstanding student athlete by committing to play football at Morehead State University.
Leading up to this decision, Wolford had received scholarship offers from schools such as UPIKE, Defiance College, and Georgetown University.
Included among his honors was the Kentucky Football Coaches Association’s Coach Philip Haywood Lineman of the Year award, recognizing the best lineman across the entire state.
Posting on Twitter/X, Wolford stated, “I am grateful to say that I am 100% committed!! Thank you to all the coaches and staff that have impacted my life on this recruiting journey!!
At 6′ 3″ and 297 pounds, Wolford had received college interest including offers from Georgetown, UPIKE, Ottawa College, and Defiance College.
The Pirates finished with a record of 12-2 for the past season and finished as 2A District 8 champion, 2A Regional champion, and 2A semi-state runner up.
Summing up his announcement January 25, Wolford finished by saying, “I am excited to be able to start a new chapter of my life at a place that feels like home!”
