Woman accused of stabbing mother and hitting her with frying pan

PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  A Pikeville woman is in jail after police say she hit her mother in the head with a frying pan and stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife.  Pikeville Police responded to a residence on Island Creek Road just after 6am Monday morning where they say 29 year old Ashley Estoll attacked her mother.  After entering the home, officers found Estoll’s mother sitting in a chair, covered in blood with several stab wounds on her head, neck and torso.  The victim told police the attack happened after she confronted her daughter about her alleged drug use.  Ashley Estoll remains in the Pike County Detention Center on a $25 thousand dollar cash bond.
