Woman Facing Charges After Marijuana Rice Krispy Treat, 2 Year Old Found In Vehicle

A traffic stop in Magoffin County has landed a Michigan woman behind bars on drug charges.

It happened Sunday night on US 460 in Salyersville when state police observed an SUV cut across a dirt median to get to a gas station. As troopers approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The driver, 21-year-old Robyn Mykala Green of Michigan, told troopers marijuana was in the center console, saying it was for medical purposes. Green failed field sobriety tests, and finally admitted she had smoked marijuana in Michigan with her father prior to the trip to Kentucky and again three or four hours before being stopped by police. Green was not alone on her trip as her 2 year old son was also in the vehicle. Troopers found seven joints, three more partially smoked and an unopened marijuana Rice Krispy treat.

She was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on various drug and traffic charges, as well as endangering the welfare of a minor.
