Deadly Logan County Crash

Chapmanville, WV — A crash in Logan County has resulted in a death and two other people seriously injured. It happened Thursday morning shortly before 1:00 AM on Upper Crawley Creek Road in Chapmanville. According to West Virginia State Police, when Troopers arrived, both vehicles were on fire. Troopers were able to get two people out and they were flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital. West Virginia State Police say 49-year-old Beverly Duty of Harts, West Virginia died at the scene. Troopers indicate in their preliminary report that alcohol may have been involved but investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology tests which could take some time.
