KIMPER, Ky. — For the second time this week, police are investigating a fatal side-by-side crash in Pike County.
Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a crash on Upper Johns Creek Road just after 5:30 Sunday morning.
The investigation indicates a Polaris UTV left the roadway, traveled over an embankment, and crashed into a tree. Michael Hardin, 34, of Kimper, died at the scene. Kyle Hardin, 38, of Phelps, was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Less than six hours earlier, a UTV crash at McCarr resulted in the death of Michael Sincell, 28, of Freeburn.
Both incidents remain under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
