2018 Eastern Kentucky Strong event held in Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  Nearly 400 young women from all 6 high schools in Pike County spent Thursday on the UPIKE campus for the annual East Kentucky Strong event.  Event organizers say it’s important for the young women to gather together and listen to speakers talk about things that are important to them both now and in the future.  This year’s keynote speaker was former POW Jessica Lynch, who shared her inspiring story of strength and perseverance.

This is the third year the Eastern Kentucky Strong event has been held in Pikeville.
