Woman arrested on murder charges

A Pike County woman has been arrested for murder in connection to the October 19th death of 20 old Lamont Jordan Wright.

Wright died as a result of a collision between the motorcycle he was driving and the vehicle driven by 29 year old Kimberly Owens that occurred on Penny Road.

Owens was indicted last week by a Pike County Grand Jury for murder. She was arrested Tuesday by Kentucky State Police. Pike County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Bartley said his office is still awaiting the toxicology results, but had enough initial evidence to convince the grand jury to indict her.

Owens is being held without bond at the Pike County Detention Center.
