Pike Sheriff’s Office mourns passing of longtime deputy

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of a longtime deputy.
The sheriff’s office announced in a social media post that deputy James Earl Williams, a fixture of the Pond Creek area of Pike County, had passed away. In the post, Williams is remembered as being a dedicated law enforcement officer who was devoted to his family.
“Rest in peace, 132,” the post reads.
Willams had also served the community as a volunteer firefighter with the Belfry Fire Department.
