PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Knott County man has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge.
Tommy Short, 62, of Emmalena, pleaded guilty Friday to a single count of conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth.
In his plea agreement, he admitted to developing relationships with multiple meth suppliers and selling the drug in Knott County over the past three years. Short had been accused of using the alias “Bob Slade” to sell the drugs over Facebook.
During the investigation, confidential informants purchased a total of 10 ounces of meth from him over six occasions.
Short’s plea must still be approved by a judge. If it is, he will face between 10 years and life in prison when he is sentenced.
