SOUTH BOSTON, Va. — A Whitesburg native and his wife are teaming up to take over a NASCAR racetrack.
Chase Brashears is joining the track as assistant general manager at South Boston Speedway, while his wife, Carly, will serve as assistant office manager. Then, next year, Chase will take over as general manager, while his wife directs marketing, sales and administrative functions.
South Boston opened in 1957 and is part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, along with other touring series and special events.
