FRANKFORT, Ky. — After falling behind to Tennessee in the American Association of State Troopers’ annual Best-Looking Cruiser Contest, Kentucky State Police has eked out a last-minute win.

This makes the second year in a row that Kentucky has won the contest, but earlier in the week, it didn’t look like that would happen. Tennessee was leading the contest on Tuesday, when KSP put out a call for votes.
In the end, Kentucky won the contest with more than 65,000 votes, beating Tennessee by nearly 10,000.
This year’s KSP entry featured a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, equipped with 20-inch tires and a 5.3 liter 4WD producing 355 horsepower and a ten-speed automatic transmission. The photo was snapped on Pisgah Pike in Woodford County with a backdrop featuring horse country.
The top 13 cruisers will be featured in the AAST 2023 calendar, with Kentucky featured on the cover and as the January photo. Full results are as follows:
