
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Charles J. Baird has retired from the Board of Directors of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc., Chairman, President and CEO Mark A. Gooch has announced.
The retirement was effective Jan. 3.
Baird was named to the Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. Board of Directors in 1987 and has served in that role faithfully for 37 years. He was Chairman of the Corporate Retirement and Employee Benefit Committee for many years and served on the Executive Committee of the Corporate Board of Directors.
“We wish Charles and his wife Kitty the very best in his retirement from our Board of Directors,” said Mr. Gooch. “Charles provided sound judgment and advice to our Board for many years.”
Baird will remain very active in his role as President of Baird & Baird, P.S.C. in Pikeville, a law firm founded in 1947.
