LOVELY, Ky. — A Martin County woman was arrested after police say she threatened to kill social workers, then tried to ram them with her car.

The social workers told the Martin County Sheriff’s Office that Garnett Scott, 36, of Lovely, began threatening them after she was informed that a court had ordered the removal of her children.

As a deputy was driving to the location, a second call came in saying Scott tried to ram the social workers and run them over, then left. The social workers said they feared she was going home to get the children and flee.

The deputy intercepted Scott at her home, where she was found with two small girls in her arms.

She was arrested and charged with two counts each of wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening.
