Pike Central student-athlete earns coveted spot into the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar

Ethan Carter is the epitome of a student-athlete.

Pike County Central junior, Ethan Carter, has been accepted into the prestigious U.S. Naval Academy 2026 Summer Seminar. This is a program for rising seniors across the country for students looking to join the Naval Academy after graduation. Only 2,500 student athletes are selected each year for this opportunity, making it a very competitive program.

The two-sport athlete had to earn his spot in the USNA Summer Seminar. He has a 4.0 GPA, and is a member of the Beta Club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society. Ethan doesn’t let being a varsity football and baseball player distract him from what is most important. He sets a prime example for what it means to be a student first but also on how to be an outstanding person and teammate.

Ethan’s mom, Andrea Carter, had this to say about their son’s achievement,

“We are beyond proud of Ethan for earning a spot at the United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar, a highly competitive opportunity, and we’re so excited for him to experience Midshipmen life for a week. His father and I, along with Hawk Nation, couldn’t be prouder.”

Mountain Top Sports would like to congratulate Ethan on this amazing opportunity to represent Pike County Central and Eastern Kentucky as a whole!
