BETSY LAYNE, Ky. — A social media post making a threat against Betsy Layne High School has been investigated and determined not to be credible.

The Floyd County school district learned of the post on Friday and asked the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office to investigate.

Officers determined that the threat is not credible and there is no threat of harm to any students or staff of Betsy Layne High School or any other Floyd County school.

The school district has asked for an increased police presence at the school on Monday, out of what it says is an abundance of caution.
