FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman says his office is continuing efforts to ensure the state’s elections remain free, fair and secure.
Speaking Tuesday from the Attorney General’s Election Integrity Command Center in Frankfort, Coleman said voters should report suspected election law violations through the state’s Election Fraud Hotline or online reporting system.
As of noon on Election Day, the hotline had received 54 complaints involving possible election law violations from 27 Kentucky counties. Since the beginning of the year, the office says it has received 350 complaints from 87 counties statewide.
The hotline is staffed live from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Election Day by members of the Attorney General’s office. Complaints are reviewed and referred to the Department of Criminal Investigations when warranted.
The number for the Attorney General’s Election Fraud Hotline at (800) 328-VOTE or you can make a report online.
Coleman says Kentuckians should remain confident in the integrity and security of the election process, adding that investigators, prosecutors and support staff are working to protect every vote.
The Attorney General’s office says investigators are also working alongside the FBI and Kentucky State Police to review credible allegations of election law violations.
