Floyd County, Ky: A Floyd County man will be nearing retirement age when he gets out of prison, after pleading guilty to production and distribution of child pornography. 31-year-old Joshua Keith Lawson, of Ivel, pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography and two counts of distribution. He admitted to taking a nude picture of a preteen girl and also sending two nude pictures of different preteen girls to an undercover officer over the internet. U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell sentenced Lawson to the maximum of 30 years for production charge. He will also serve an additional five years for the distribution charges, which is the minimum sentence for that offense. Lawson remains jailed the in Pike County Detention Center.
